Hope to see you there!
the Withlacoochee is teeming with wildlife, and some of Florida's most diverse
flora and fauna. We will discuss the ecological value as well as ethnobotany
which describes the interaction between people, plants, and culture.

One of battles in the second Seminole War was fought on December 30, 1835,
along the Withlacoochee River in Citrus County. Though strongly outnumbered,
the Seminoles held their position and prevented an attack on their villages.

While paddling we will explore the river together
and learn of her most valuable treasures!
